Can't seem to apply color to custom objects
Hey all,
New to TTS and am creating my own models/components.

Trying out importing my first model - the geometry seems ok, but I can't figure out how to apply a color, either before or after import.

I'm using Blender and just setting a simple color (blue) for a pawn. When I import, it just seems to be slightly pink.

If I try changing the material in TTS, I can see it change, but just barely.

Any suggestions appreciated....

thanks

Right click the object and pick color tint in game

That's what I tried - as noted, when applying a color, it's barely visible.

I think I found the answer on another forum - that there must be UV maps created prior to import to TTS.

cheers

Specifically, you need to create a material and make sure the entire model is assigned to it.
In fact if you create multiple materials, only the parts assigned to the one at the top of the list will be affected by color tint. You can use this to your advantage.
