2 - where you host the images is up to you, steam is the easiest method as you can do it from within the game. Yes, when you open a mod for the first time the assets are downloaded to your machine from the cloud or whatever site you've uploaded the assets to. So the mod does rely on that site for anyone opening it for the first time - you'll get a 404 error if the image/asset isn't available. Once they've been downloaded, TTS will keep using the locally cached copies of the files each time you load the mod, so you can technically keep using a mod even if the hosting site is down IF you already have the assets in your cache.
Question...
If I'm subscribing to a mod and have loaded it once already...
And almost all the images were uploaded by the mod creator to various sites....
I'm guessing the mod creator frankensteined a bunch of different mods together, because the images are all over the place.
If I chose to 'Upload all Loaded Files' would it then save me the trouble of relocating all the images myself if I wanted to put them on a more stable location?
