The tablet is deadly
Be careful what you search up on the tablet in game. I was messing around with it earlier with some friends and searching up some stupid things. Well my friend's dad walked in and started saying that he got alearts from some websites. This is a warning to all to be careful and I hope this saves someone.

The tablet works like a webbrowser like any other one, unfortunately it seems that there is no extra barrier because it is in a game. So treat it like a normal browser and don't go on sites that you wouldn't go to normally.

It was worth it

This might not the tablet's fault in particular. There's a lot of stuff between your install of Unity and the rest of the entire internet. So far, I have not heard of any security issues with the tablet, which would be a security issue with Unity/TTS Lua scripting and Steam itself. The "searching for stupid stuff" on the internet is a bit more dangerous, but the tablet is not a true browser, it's just a script sending stuff to whatever browser you have linked with steam. It should be sandboxed, but nothing is completely safe.

The browser is actually a Unity3D plug-in called "Embedded Browser[www.zenfulcrum.com]". (TTS switched from the previous browser plug-in, Awesomium, in the version 9.0 update.) Embedded Browser actually uses the WebKit HTML renderer so it is actually its own web browser and does not interact with (or, technically, even require) any other browser on your PC. Additionally, it has nothing to do with the LUA interpreter.

Interesting how it got my friend in trouble.

I don't really keep up to date on the changelogs of Unity3D, so I appreciate the insight.

What exactly was it that "alerted your friends dad"? Sounds to me like someone is falling for Indian tech support scam advertisements.

Porn sites are pretty good at alerting controlling parents

So again, what is it their dad is using for monitoring traffic?

The simplest way to deal with the tablet issue, is to point to it, right-click and select "Delete" or press the Delete key (DEL).

I think they should implement in-game PDF support or something, especially if the tablet in game is used for things like the game's rulebook, etc.

PDF support would be wonderful. I have a lot of copies of rulebooks I use in PDF format, because my dead tree format books don't let me ctrl+f to search for something I half-remember the name or flavor text of.

PDF support is a very common request. I've been seeing it on here for a couple years. Here's hopin.
