Program for creating custom models for DnD?

I thought it would be a lot of fun to create custom PC and NPC models for a DnD game in TTS. My original plan was to use Hero Forge, because their tools are amazing. I was prepared to pay, but $10 per file is a little absurd. I'm wondering if there are any similar programs that streamline the process of creating custom character models that can be imported. I lack the 3D modeling skills, and the time, to make them myself in something like Blender.

if you're not willing to make them yourself or pay for them you're not gonna find many options. there are some free ones on some sites but I think you'd still have to customize them in blender or somethin. 10 or more is pretty standard, seems kinda cheap actually. a lotta work goes into making pose-able models that look how you want em to

You could commission someone to make it for you but again you're still prolly looking at 10 or more for each one

I'm not afraid of paying for them, but I intend to make quite a few, and $10 per digital download of a model is out of the question. I'm currently looking at Desktop Hero 3D, which lets you download the model files for free, but charges for "asset packs." Also saw some people mention the possibility of creating characters in Skyrim and exporting their models.

How does one get in touch with the developer to beg and plead for more fantasy miniatures? I'd pay!
