Having issues with the takeObject() function? Try this:
Ever since a couple of updates ago, takeObject() function was pretty messed up. It wouldn't spawn everything, and the things it did, it would send flying all over the table. I tried to fix it but to no avail.

After today's update mentioning a fix to the takeObject() function, I was hoping the issue would be solved. But sadly it wasn't. So I tried yet again. Not quite sure if the latest update helped or if it was there all along, but I noticed something:

While using the function, the objects would either remain stuck under the bags they were coming from or under the ones they should've been placed into.

On a hunch, I tried turning off the snapping points and the grid to see if it would maybe fix it. And it did! Somehow the tokens "orders" seems to prioritize the snapping points and the grid over their scripted destination.

So simply turn off snapping points and the grid and no more takeObject() issue!

Terrible Hastur, I have just ran into the same issue. Your recommendations, while appreciated, only half solved the problem, I still have objects that are not taken correctly, only less now.

TTS and our knowledge of how it works (or doesn't) has significantly improved in the 6 years since this necro post.

You'll have far more luck posting your problem on the official TTS Discord server in the #scripting channel.
