Suggestion: Snap Points Linked to Objects
Is there a way to link snap points to a certain object so that when you move the object it doesn't lose tracking? I set up a bunch of snap points on a card that had numbers 1 through 10 and I have one wood block to keep track of the numbers but whenever I move the card, the snap points don't move with the card.

It would be great if snap points could be cemented on to an ojbect so if the card has to be passed around the table, it doesn't lose the snap points.

This is already a feature. To add snap points to a card, lock the card. Place an object on the card in the correct place, then use the snapping tool on the object. This will add a snapping point on the card at the object's location and should move with the card. Now you can unlock the card.

Thanks I will try this next time I log in. I'm not familiar with "objects" so I'll have to figure that out.

You need to Enable the "Lock" toggle on the object you want to add a snap point to, otherwise the snap will default to the locked object under that or the table if no other locked objects are present.

Once you add the snap point to your object unlock it and the snap will travel with it from then on.

To add to loca'a great advise, make sure you LOCK physics in your config, and you may as well reduce gravity as well. Makes life a lot easier.

Thanks everyone. I'll test this out.

@locoparentus Ahhh, thank you. This has been driving me nuts as I'd seen it working in other things but couldn't add them myself. Unfortunatley it dosen't appear to work for "Rotate snaps" :(

Hmmm.. now it doesn't appear to be working for snap positions either. Not sure what I'm doing wrong now. Can the picking go wrong for cards sometimes? Maybe it's picking through the card to the table underneath? If I could work out how to move locked items I might be able to test this out, but I can't work out how to stop things falling down after I position them off the table.

Uggg.. ok, both snap points and rotate snaps work, but there's definitely an issue with picking in that it can 'pick' the thing underneath if you're trying to make them relative to a card. By moving the card up in the air and trying it again, I got both to work successfully. Then I had an issue with the snap points themselves working, and that appeared to be something to do with 'raise height' being too small when moving things... it seems objects have to fall from a certain height before it'll use snap points.

Critical piece of information here. An object locked on the table gives the snaps to the table. Locking the object in the air gives snaps to the object.

All non-scenery objects should be at y position of 1 or higher. I have demonstrated this many times but one of the things it affects is snap point creation.

The table I'm working with was at -37, and thin objects like cards didn't work with the placement grid shadows, but pieces like a knight did. Moved the table to -36 and it was happy and working. This is the same table I'm working with doing the snap points. I didn't check to see if that put my tile above y 0 when it was raised.
