Is there a way to add a Background Color to the Text Box?

I'm refering to the box on the bottom-right of the screen. If not, is there a way to shade it darker?

Click on the gear tab directly above the chat window to open the chat settings window. The bottom option ("Color") has a box to the right that opens a color picker. To make your selection more visible, you may need to increase (?) the value of the "opacity" option by moving its slider farther to the right.

It's kind of confusing that you increase the value next to opacity to make the chatbox more solid, but...

I appreciate the help, but I'm referring to the 'Notes' section in the bottom right of the screen.
