Best hot seat multiplayer games on TTS and Steam
What do you think are the best hot seat multiplayer games on steam? They can be found in tabletop simulator or if you know of other games that's fine too. I saw scythe steam version had a hot seat mode.

I would especially like to find games that can work well with 2 human players.

Imo:

Eldritch Horror if you like Lovecraft and/or horrors

Zombicide if you like zombie-themed games

Carcassone if you like puzzle-like gameplay

maybe you got another definition of hotseat

hotseat just means you play a game and take turns on one computer
you can do that with all games

do you mean coop games ?

gloomhaven is an awesome game btw

its mission based .... so you can play a session every now and then

I highly recommend to try The Quacks of Quedlinburg (It's called Die Quacksalber von Quedlinburg on TTS) It's so much fun. But it can takes longer as hotseat = takes turn. Recently Photosynthesis has been growing me on too. It's quick and it looks amazing

I also recommend a game called Tangled Timeline. And also of course Century Spice Road. Those are amazing, quick and easy to understand for all.

For a very simple, Timeline Multi-Thèmes on TTS is totally worth it, even its not in English, but it's a lot of fun, Timeline and cardline are my favourites. Simple easy and we can learn a lot each time! Shame there is not Timeline Challenge boardgame (yet) on TTS. It would be epic if there will be one kindly uploaded by creative & generous people :-D

Thanks for the insight so far! Do these games work with 2 players usually or would I need more?

Quacks of Quedlinburg is so funny it doesn't need more than 2 players. There is even a solo variant (another workshop item) version too. I sometimes play 3 or 4 players by myself! It's that good! I also love doing that for Century Spice Road. (if you search around on internet, there is a good solo variant of Century Spice Road, it works alright. Both games listed are Amazing.

It's funny how we can be all players by ourselves. Yet the game still continue to be fun, exciting and amazing!

I love Timeline (not Tangled Timeline, I like that one less than Timeline), it's history lesson in a card game format. So lovely!

If you are 2 players sitting in front of PC, playing Tabletop Simulator, I would also recommend to try Magic Maze. It's cute and funny, cooperative game with a bang! I've played that one with 7 players in real life, It's amazing. Since hotseat = all players can only use 1 mouse, it's better to have 2 seats than more than 2 unfortunately.

Any other game ideas?
I found the Carcassonne version by Sancho let's you use hot seat in a server multiplayer room. It also let's you play with AI. I'm still looking for more games that have been programmed this way. It's great as a 2 player game. Twilght Struggle is a fabulous two-player game, but it's a high learning curve and longer game. I had googled great 2 player games the other day and found this link: https://www.gamedesigning.org/gaming/two-player-board-games/ Most of those games are available in the workshop.
