Problem with OneDrive and Tabletop simulator saves folder
I recently installed Microsoft OneDrive and tried to sync my HDD main folders to autosave on the cloud, but I can't use this feature with the MyDocuments folder because Tabletop Simulator stores the save games and mods there and OneDrive doesn't allow to upload .json files to the cloud.

How can I force Tabletop Simulator to use a different folder for the saves/mods?

can't you just tell onedrive to ignore/not sync the tts folder?

You can set the "Mod Save Location" option to "Game Data" and it will use the install directory (steamapps\common\Tabletop Simulator).

Unfortunately it doesn't give me the option to select sub folders. So it is all or nothing in the MyDocuments folder

This wont work for me. Pls help this only seems to be a problem on my desktop. I think the file save location is the same (onedrive) on my surface but doesn't seem to be a problem.

i've tried
-manually moving the folder
-changing the in game setting
-changing windows default document save location
-reinstalling TTS

Same issue. Got a rather nasty surprise to find One Drive rapidly filling up with TTS related files. This thread did help. I think I have it fixed via the suggestions above.

I'm trying to do this but I can't find the option anywhere. Is it in steam, in game or somewhere else?

I'm having the same problem. Has anyone solved this?

For anyone who has the same problem, I have a possible cause and solution. So I changed the option in-game to save the mods in the app folder instead of My Documents, then I cut and pasted the previously installed mods from My Documents to the app folder. This didn't free space on my OneDrive so I went to see if it was still syncing in the Windows taskbar. There was no notification or anything but it was asking me to confirm if I actually wanted to delete all those files from OneDrive.

all you have to do is disable OneDrive from syncing the Tabletop Simulator folder.

You can't when it's in My Documents
