How To Wheel Units For Playing Warhammer?
I've been experimenting with the tools available to me. What I've been doing is trying to figure out how to wheel units. For those who don't know, wheeling in Warhammer Fantasy Battles is when you rotate your unit on the corner of its front rank.

I've figured out how to rotate on the center of a model's base. Does anyone know how to rotate a base's corner instead?

It wouldn't be too much trouble to script this into the game, but Baryonyx's solution is much simpler and easier.

Oh wow! Thanks! I didn't know the solution would be that simple! XD

Folks,

This is a really basic wargaming need/function. I tried the pawn option - it worked until I released the pawn and the unit and pawn fell through the table...a total non starter.

So, as per BoneWhite's comment "It wouldn't be too much trouble to script this into the game, but Baryonyx's solution is much simpler and easier."

What would the code be to enable a hotkey or some method of not using a pawn and enabling a wheel to be performed? With 20+ units on the table using a pawn is not really viable during play.

Alternatively, if Team TTS is reading these messages, I'd suggest you make this some way really easy for players to wheel units - maybe where you hover the hand on an object is where the unit centres its pivot? This is such a common wargaming need I'm surprised it's not in the original build.

Any ideas how this can be fixed?

Cheers

Happy let me clear something up - in a program that has a massively wide audience and target genres, there won't be a solution for everyone.

That's why the scripting exists.

It doesn't get fixed, you adapt it.

Head over to the #scripting channel on the Discord for your scripting questions - they're much more suited to a back-and-forth

That sounds strange. Was your table surface very thin? If yes, make it thicker, that should help.

@BoneWhite - Good tip. I didn't think to use scripting to do that. I'll have a go at that solution...thanks for the heads up.

@Baryonyx - I'll give that a go. Cheers.
