I don't know. You need to know Lua to make character sheets, and I don't know Lua. What that guy did, though, was made it so that people who don't know scripting are easily able to make their own character sheets. All of the following character sheets were made using the template by MrStump.

As you can see, there is a huge variety with what you're able to do with his simple tool. As he says
Without needing to know Lua, you can modify this character sheet to make your own. You replace the custom image of the sheet with one of your own, then you modify some variables to add/remove different "elements". The elements are checkboxes (click to check/uncheck), counters (number with a + and - button to change its value) and textboxes (fields to enter number/text). There are also some overall variables that will let you change text/background colors.

Also included is a position finder. While you can still tweek the values for where buttons are placed, you can place the red circle on top of your character sheet and copy the position it gives you in the notes. Then paste it into the script at the indicated place for that button and the button will be there after you save+apply.

I have included in-depth instructions, as clear as I can reasonably make them without them becoming too bloated. I am confident that with a little fiddling, you will be able to make your own character sheet even with 0 Lua knowledge.

So, I don't know how to make a template like that. I think you would need to be very good at scripting in order to do such. I also don't know how to make a character sheet. With the template he made, though, I don't need to know how to make a character sheet, I just tweak his sheet until it works for me.

How do you write on the character sheets in the games? The text tool seems clunky and if you make a mistake, you have to delete all text.

You click the edit buutton on the area you want to edit, then you right click the brown button that appears. Click on the description and change the text there to what ever you want. Then press the edit button again( Not the brown button).
