CMYK jpg image files will crash the game
I felt like I should tell someone somewhere that I figured out a crash to desktop problem that happens when you try to import jpeg files that are CMYK not RGB. I forgot to convert a PDF derived image to RGB. Any attempt to load the image crashes to the desktop. Windows 10.

It worked when I switched my jpeg file from CMYK to RGB mode in Photoshop. It did not work before that, and I tried everything else I could think of to fix it. It was definitely the problem in my case. Wasted an hour running that problem down!

This would be a minor bug, but worth reporting if you could reproduce it. One shouldn't use image standards meant for printers as assets for games using RGB displays in any case, right? Color profiles can be almost as tricky as video codecs. PNG and jpegs meant for digital display are the norm on TTS mods.

I can also confirm this.

Unity does not like CMYK files, so this is known. We have this info briefly mentioned in our Knowledge Base here: http://berserk-games.com/knowledgebase/custom-resolutions

I ran into this problem earlier this year. It was *tremendously* frustrating. The documentation on it is hard enough to find even if you have an idea it might be a color-space issue; if you don't suspect what might be causing it it's utterly opaque. It was only by chatting with some experienced TTS devs that I was able to puzzle out what was going on, after half a day spent slamming against this wall.

I don't care that it can't load them, but that it just crashes outright instead of giving a "can't use CMYK files" error is just terrible UX.
