Is it possible to play vs myself in Scythe?
I have only looked at Scythe in this app so far. Was trying to play a game vs myself to see how the game works. But I can't figure out how to do this. I set it to "turns" and click "end turn" and nothing in particular happens. Cards I draw from mat and faction selection will show face up on one of the mats ("mine",) but if I move them to any other map, they are face down and unflippable. "End Turn" does not change this. I can't figure out any way to change it.

Is there a way for me to take on the role of more than one player in this game? (How about other games besides Scythe?)

There is no AI component within any of these dlc's If you wish to play the solo version of scythe you do so in exactly the same manor you would if the game was laid out infront of you.

Ie: you play the part of Both Player and Opponent your self.

Scythe specifically comes with its own set of "Automa" rules and cards to act as the mind of your opponent with you as the controlling hands.

To see into all the hidden zones and player hands set your colour to "BLACK" as the "Gamesmaster" seat see's all :)

Sorry, I am not asking about an AI, I am asking about playing against myself--i.e., taking on the role of more than one player.

I know about the Automa thing, but I was wondering about literally playing as two different people (as I often do at home with boardgames I must admit!).

I'll look into seting my color as Black--that may solve my problem!

Hi there!! I have still not found how to start a game. with automa, or me playing to players. (or like 2 players on same computer. I can pick a faction and player mat for myself. then whatever I do says not in the right place to use this button.

Can you please help? you should have sorted it by now :) is there instructions somewhere how to start a game?

that would be hotseat. surely? but instead of letting someone else play the second player you just also play the second player?

I can answer myself. Yes you can. But you have to play it yourself. I have first played it in my living room table. Now I need to try the internet connection tabletop version :)
