Is there a way to have the grid only in an object?
I'm setting up an RPG table, and the grid snap function is great. However, I want to have the snapping grid in a side board, not on the main table. Can it be done?

Edit: Or even a way to configure different grids on different objects?

You can disable certain objecta from snapping to the grid by right clicking them

^ Don't think that's what he meant.

Is it the grid projection or the actual snapping?

Projection: For custom objects you can enable grid projection in the right click menu.

That's a tool to disable projection for the table.

For snapping, if it's within reason then you could lay out a bunch of placeholder items in the grid and make snap points to replace it.

Well, you also could make some snapping points. Dont know what exactly you are trying to do, so i cant tell if its useful or not.

Gridlock will have to do, I'll have to do without snapping. Thanks for the help!
