The new "card in hand rotation" feature should be disabled by default.

What I mean is that since the last update, when a player grabs a card and places it in their hand, it isn't always straight like before. I and others find this annoying and should be disabled by default.

Are these Cards with the Sideways Setting Perhaps ?

It's happened with 2 mods Ive been playing for a while: Terraforming Mars and Love Letter. It's never been an issue before, but now when cards are grabbed and placed into a player hand they will often be sideways instead of straight. So, it's definitely not a specific mod doing this, nor is it an issue only I am experiencing as I played with another person today and he was complaining about it as well.

Did those cards have the sideways setting though ? that is when you ALT zoom on them which way are they viewed ?

They are viewed straight up, with the correct orientation when I alt view them.

when you say "Grab" are you meaning grabed with a script or are you actually picking up a card and placing it in your hand ?

Actually picking it up and placing it into my hand or another player's hand.

We'll need a "Specific" mod this is happening on to see if we can replicate it... there are like ..6 versions each of the 2 mods you listed. So we need to narrow down exactly the circumstances that can cause this to happen.

It's not mod specific. The same behavior will also happen in the classic card games TS is loaded with by default. What is happening is that the card keeps the orientation it was in when it enters a player's hand. This wasn't the case before the last update.
Try rotating a card and then placing it in your hand in any game. The card will not automatically go straight like it did before.

Yeah that's it. I get that it's a feature that could be used to move cards in your hand a certain way, and that's neat, but like I said in the title, I believe it should be disabled by default as it's downright annoying imo. Either that or implement a better way to use so that it won't interfere with normal play.

are you perhaps throwing the cards into the hand ?
if your not actually holding the card when it enters a hand it will stay at the angle it enters.
but if you "place" a card in a hand then it absolutely does rotate to the correct orientation.

he isn't doing anything unusual and has explained it several ways. I also play terraforming mars (by Xenos) and can confirm it is happening. download xenos mod and try it...also get pieces thrown randomly into hands, and cards flying (like being thrown) into/out of your hand at times.

Happens in Secret Hitler as well. Cards are unusually big(ger), grabbing a card and pulling it into one's own hand will turn it sideways.

Just now I got another small 2 MB update though, so I don't know if it got fixed just now.
