My friends and i can't play without server lag, help.
Me and my friends are from Brazil, and whenever we play there's always a lot of lag. The host's game runs smoothly, but everyone else is laggy. This can't be our own connection, since every other game is fine. I noticed there's no South American proxy option, is there a workaround to this? We tried Hamachi, but the lag is somehow even worse.

The problem with proxy (and btw hamachi is a vpn, and that has the same problem) is that it puts another server between the host and the clients, and that will take a toll on everyone's connections (host is not connecting, that's why his game runs fine)

You should be looking into port forwarding the router (or routers) of whoever is hosting to ensure you will connect directly without a proxy.

Also, I have some bad news. Even though you say connection is fine with other games, that doesn't mean your internet connection isn't an issue. TTS uses considerably more network than other p2p games, and that just increases the more people who connect.

It could also be the host's computer not having enough cpu to handle too many simultaneous connections.

May I ask for the specs and connection speed for whoever is hosting?
Since you're from Brazil, use this site to test the connection speed
http://www.brasilbandalarga.com.br/index.php/speedtest

Either way, start with the port forwarding then we go from there.

We'll try port fowarding tomorrow. The thing about specs is, 4 friends tried to host, all had the same server lag. I don't have the specific specs, but our PC's are anywhere from good to amazing. Sorry i can't be more specific ATM. Connection speed was 15mb/s to 50mb/s.

You need to check the upload speed, download speed doesn't really matter.

Whoever has the highest upload speed should be hosting.

Also, usually upload speed is 10% of the download speed here in Brazil, but I had issues with my provider where it was absurdly less.

If your upload speed is too much inferior to 10% of your download, try calling your provider and have them take a look. Took me some two weeks of calling to have them fix mine.
