There's a patch available right now, I'm going to grab it and then try again at reinstalling the visual studio libraries. I told the 64 bit versions to repair the existing libraries, but didn't bother with the 32 bit as they have repair as the only option implying they should already be installed.
If that doesn't work, I'll try reinstalling .net as well. Something odd is going on here.

Interestingly, It worked fine until a couple of weeks ago.
after I did not run another game, I found on the forum information about the antivirus comodo. completely removing it (disconnection did not help, because it had built-in protection) the game started. checked with tooth and tail, it started. try it if you use Comodo - delete it and run the game.

I had Comodo FW for 7 years on my PC and never had problems like that with any game. This is the first one.
I have no idea why Comodo have problems, but devs, please, try to fix that thing.
