Tips for "The War For Meat"?
I'm stuck on the KSR campaign level "The War for Meat". Any tips for completing it, like how to get the factions to fight among themselves?

It's basically the same strategy as "Howling Veil" for survival: 2 Sgt Volkovs and a squadron of devils, preferably operating on a hill. Only difference in "War for Meat" is that you get the Matriark and medics to make it easier for yourself. The owl-mice can serve as cannon fodder that absorb all the damage for you and the medics can heal what little damage you sustain to keep your small army alive indefinitly.

As for the heroic, pray that you start in an isolated corner corner with a long bottleneck entrance, with an AI starting RIGHT next to you inside that only long bottleneck. It's the only way I managed. The AI will have a little break and park its army in front of you before starting the assault. If that's inside the bottleneck, chances are another AI will do the same, with fighting breaking out.

Protect your base with huge fences of barbed wire- it will slow down units enough for another army to show up to fight them. You can also try leading enemies towards one another by building empty mills and campfires around the map. It's not a huge investment and will draw them towards it.

I made a Heroic Guide that can help you.

A strategy that was oddly effective is to claim all the campfires. This makes it likely for all the other factions to scout and target your campfires, making their armies to meet at the campfires and clash after destroying it while you work on your base and build an army. Just remember to keep re-claiming the campfires.

If they find your main base and begin to attack it and the heroic objective isn't complete yet, grab your army and retreat, abandon your base. Look for a new Gristmill and keep growing your army and avoiding them until the heroic objective is complete

Another thing to note is, if you don't have any Gristmills (or out of farms) but you still have control of at least one campfire, you're still in the game.

Hope this helps!

All this claiming empty mills and such honestly sounds like cheesing the AI which I don't think should be a heroic object in the first place.

Well.. I got the heroic objective because all the ennemies crashed on my base and started to fight each other on my territory. Was fun while it lasted. :)
