Why is the second letter in the title censored?
I noticed that the second letter in the title has been replaced with an asterisk. Why is this specific character censored? I have tried filling in the blank multiple times, but I cannot for the life of me find a letter that makes the title offensive. Here are all of the possible combos:

Qabert
Qbbert
Qcbert
Qdbert
Qebert
Qfbert
Qgbert
Qhbert
Qibert
Qjbert
Qkbert
Qlbert
Qmbert
Qnbert
Qobert
Qpbert
Qqbert
Qrbert
Qsbert
Qtbert
Qubert
Qvbert
Qwbert
Qxbert
Qybert
Qzbert

Is there some language out there where any of these words is considered offensive? Qibert and Qobert both look like they could be, but I'm not sure...

So, what is the game's actual uncensored title, and in what language is it considered bad enough to be globally censored?

Q*bert is how the original arcade title name was spelled. The asterik was just a way to separate the "Q" from the "bert", similar to a hyphen. The asterik adds a little more flair than a hyphen. When it was released, the game and the characters were definitely odd to say the least. The asterik in the title name fits in with the oddity and uniqueness of the game itself. The original cabinet arcade games all had their own uniqueness when they first came out. Each one stood out in its own way.

Only a real qobert would have gone to this much trouble for one letter.
