alex hill

game does not work, doesn't even start up. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing! please help.

I had to change the way the game handles graphics because it was causing crashes on some people's computer, but it ended up preventing some computers from starting it up. I'm working to resolved it as quickly as I can.

As an alternate for now, try these steps and see if it works:

Go to Steam Library.
Right Click on Alex Hill in the Library list.
Select Properties in the menu.
In the General tab there is a field for launch options.
In the box type "-dx11" without the quotes.
Close the options and try running the game.

I cannot launch the game. i keep getting a vulkan driver message. not sure how to go around this

You will either need to update the graphics driver for your computer or you can try following the steps I posted above.

I had to update the Vulcan driver (easy to do, just download install the updated drivers) and I also had to do the -dx11 tip... That got it going for me! (My computer is slightly below lowest recommendations on graphics card and probably also processor).

Thank you, this fixed it for me and let the game start. I cannot figure out how to update my driver to get this vulkan driver thing. My graphics card is an Intel(R) HD Graphics 620. Google says it is compatible with vulkan driver, but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out where I am supposed to download this driver. My computer is pretty old so that is probably why. Anyway, thanks for making this an option so I can play!
