Online Connection Issues

Hi everyone, we apologise profusely about the online issues we've been having. We would also like to apologise for not updating you sooner about it, we've had COVID visiting which put us out of action for a while.

We are looking into it, and it is proving to be a tough bug to crack related to something on the server. We will continue to look at it and will keep you posted with developments.

Please accept our apology, and thank you for being so patient with us, we really are trying to fix this as soon as possible.

Is there any fix close to being completed?

Hi everyone,

We believe we might have found a way to fix the problem. To give it a try, follow these instructions:

1.. Open Steam and right-click ‘Kitty Power’s Matchmaker’.
2. Click ‘Properties’.
3. Go to the ‘Betas’ tab.
4. On this page, there will be a box to input a code. Input ‘OnlineKittyFixB’ without the quotation marks.
5. You should receive a confirmation message. Click the dropdown button and change it from ‘NONE’ to ‘online_fix’.
6. Close Steam and then reopen it. Next to the game in your library it should say ‘[online_fix]’.
7. When you play the game and are on the dating agency screen, click the Kitty Phone in the top left corner. On the pause menu that pops up, the version number of the game should read '1.17.2d10'.

At this point, you should be able to use online functionality as intended. Please let us know if you try it and it works for you. If enough players report that it's working, then we will release a new public version of the game with these changes.

PLEASE NOTE: This version of the game will only work on Windows machines with an x64 processor. It will not work on Windows 32-bit or Mac OS.

For anyone experiencing online connection problems, please update the game to the latest version (1.17.2a). This should fix any related issues and allow you to use online features again.
