Tips for beginners/things you overlooked

First off, I want to say I love this game, and I'm really glad it's here on Steam.

Here are some of the tips and tricks relating to the game mechanics that I didn't understand at first. I thought sharing them here might be good for beginners to avoid some pitfalls!

1. During a date, click on the flying coins/cherub Kittys that occasionally race across. They're bonuses! (I thought they meant I had done something good or bad until I clicked one by accident.)
   
2. "Cheating" on the dessert game just removes one bad choice; it doesn't solve it for you.
   
3. On a date that is doing poorly, you might as well just ask the personality questions, since you retain that information about dates for future match-ups.
   
4. When the game says you shouldn't go to the same restaurant twice, they mean for each combination of client and date, not for each client! So if you go to the Jamaican place with Person A, you can go there again if Person A goes there with a different person. (There'll be warning on the flag for second dates and beyond.)
   
5. Three-star dates will be unhappy if chosen to go to a one-star restaurant.

Use fussy VIP's to breeze through easy 1-2 star dates getting all the information you can out of them, then leave them, if your client refuses them your reputation doesn't take a hit, that's only if they get dumped

To go with what Tilt said, try to avoid hooking up couples on the 1st date even if you've found a good match -- especially if you're confident in your skills/coins for cheating for a second or third date. I'd rather use a client to find out info about other dates than hook them up right away...also you make more money off of each one :3

My tip, well, it might be a bit like cheating, but I find it very useful to keep a notepad handy to jot down notes. I'll list my client's date's likes, for starters. When the dessert tray comes I'll write the first letter or two of each item as they cycle through. Also copy the taxi numbers, and what topics I shouldn't cover on my second date. This doesn't work on all the mini games, bit it does help somewhat.

Also, if you see the cat on the proposal screen at the end of the date, tap it quick to get some bonus coins.
