Only certain types
I haven't been able to get any of the types I started out with in the beginning of the game, I can't remember the last time I've had an Edgy or a Nerd, is there a reason for this or is it just me?

I have also found that i havent seen the nerd/geek type in my black book or any of the clients that come in :/

My game has also seemed that way for a while too. I have a few Glams and Geeks in my black book waiting to pair up with their opposite (for the achievement), but I haven't gotten a Glam or Geek client in ages.

That's odd. The trick is to get a bunch of people paired off so that the black book refreshes a few times.

Once a type is in your black book, you will see clients in the queue to match them with eventually

I play this game frequently and I can say its been nearly about 20 hours of playing since I've seen a geek type. I always see every type except geek. I think I may have one geek type in my black book. Do you think maybe pairing them off might fix this issue?

Hey, I can add to this topic with hard data, since I'm keeping track of my clients for my interests/type guide. I have unlocked all the types, and I always select the clients in the order they walk in the door. I've only kicked one client the whole time I've played, and I don't remember if I recorded her in my notes. I try to pair off clients with prospects with two dates, and I am generally successful. I very, very rarely have a client walk out with three broken hearts.

So here is a list of what types I've gotten, starting with the most recent and endling with the the ones furthest in the past. Here we go!

Hippy Hipster Chic Arty Glam Hippy Hipster Practical Vintage

Arty Edgy Vintage Glam Edgy Vintage Edgy Arty Hipster Glam

Arty Hippy Hipster Practical Hippy Glam Chic Hippy Glam

Chic Hipster Vintage Hippy Chic Geek Hippy Chic Glam Arty Vintage

Geek Arty Hipster Glam Practical Sporty Hipster Vintage Glam Hipster

Geek Vintage Sporty Glam Practical Sporty Hipster .... and here I started a new notepad.

By my count my last Geek was 32 clients ago, and sporty is even more shy, avoiding my door for the past 42 members.

I know this is of course just one data point, but it does seem like the rates for certain types are worse than one might expect from pure chance alone.

Yeah I also havent seen sporty in a while but i usually get them and practicals confused so I didnt realise till now. But definately been ages seeing a geek. My main concern over this was as to whether people on my friends list all listed themselves as a geek maybe but seems not the case.

Hi everyone,

bear in mind that the clients in the lobby are generated based on what you have in the black book. If your black book has become saturated then try pairing off soem of your more common types and if the system is working as designed the black book will get more diverse, and thus you'll see corresponding types in the lobby.

We will take a look a this also to make sure it isn't broken. :-)

Same here, I've played for over 30 hours now and haven't had a single Geeky or Edgy type show up since way back when I first started out. If I recall correctly those were the first 2 type locations that I opened up.
I have several Geeks in my blackbook and one or two Edgy so it's weird they still don't appear.

Update: I started keeping track of which customers appear like Abenlen did and here are the results of the last 50.
Arty: 7
Chic: 5
Glam: 7
Hippy: 8
Hipster: 5
Practical: 8
Sporty: 6
Vintage: 4
Edgy: 0
Geek: 0

Keep in mind I already hadn't seen a single Geek or Edgy in the ~20 hours before I started keeping track of them. I think they might've stopped appearing around the time of reaching level 20 for the first time, but it could've been a bit earlier or later than that.

Hope this helps.

It would be better to figure out which types are in your black book, as that is what defines what types appear in your lobby.

Unfortunately Kitty doesn't tell you what types those customers are.

The basic idea is that once your black book starts getting stale, it's probably because you've dated everyone in there, so the old ones aren't being refreshed any more, as we don't recycle customers that you've been on a date with.

So the solution is to just match up a bunch of customers to clear out your black book, and that should balance the types a bit more.
VirtualUtopia Sep 1, 2015 @ 7:14am
I've currently only dated ~16 out of the 48 in my blackbook so they're still refreshing a lot.

At least 2 of them are definitely Geeky, since they're Steam friends that I checked the type for. And there's some more that are likely to be Geeky as well. There are at least 2 that fit the Edgy type perfectly too. So not having seen a single customer for either type for probably 40+ hours now seems pretty odd, especially since it's happening to so many of us.

Yes, that does seem odd. Can you contact us at magicnotion.com/contact so that we can figure out once and for all if there's a problem and what it is?

Thanks!
