Is it ever beneficial to tell the truth to your date?

I always get a red cross when I do. Do I just have to lie all the time?

Well, if you're honest and it all works out in the end, the couple will end up in a better relationship built on trust (and probably give you a better grade).

A couple lying to each other might hook up, but their long-term prospects aren't quite so sunny because their whole relationship is based on lies.

Red crosses are bad yeah but in some situations If you know person is carefree you can tell the truth to them they ll be okay with it
But If you lie all the way they can end up breaking up and give you C- grade ( so it will lower your reputation ).

Indeed if the date was going well overall it's better to get the red x without the lie because it will make the relationship better in the future outcome.

If you know the people won't make a good much afterall and you're just trying to avoid a dumping (3 X) then it's of course better to risk lying so you have at least a chance to complete the date.
