Please report!
Config run the game OK, except one - NO Sound, NO Music.
Inspite of put all volumes in 100..
Could you please check what to change in config to return sounds?
@Martinsky: Ok I'll check that. Didn't notice that because I always play without ingame-sound but music on.
In the cfg I uploaded it's snd_Enable="false" and everything works fine except of the sound precisely because it's disabled. But if I change it to snd_Enable="true" then the game crashes while creating/loading a new game. (sound in main menu works) ... Maybe some of you could change this object (snd_Enable) from true to false and vice versa, try to start a new game and post the results. I'll also work on some troubleshooting... So first you'll be only able to play without sound but I'll leave a comment if I got new results.
Edit: To keep you up to date: Seems like a problem with DirectX on Win7 because with Win XP both (snd_Enable="false" and snd_Enable="true") work fine (tested a view minutes ago) and one time trying with snd_Enable="true" on Win7 i got a DirectX-what-ever-not-working error.
that really worked on me with win 7 x64
all just use this way and never change the compiltabilty of windows type
ty again :D
I can play it again
First off.
Don't run it in XP compatibility mode. I went through hell, and finally disabled it, and got past the Loading Animations ♥♥♥♥.
When you start the game, alt tab to desktop, and open task manager by pressing control, shift, and escape at the same time. Go to processes.
Look fortaroc.exe.
Right click it.
Click, Set Affinity.
Uncheck all but CPU 0. That should do it for you.
THIS WORKS THIS WORKS THIS WORKS!!!!!!!! FORGET ALL THE OTHER CRAP JUST DO THIS. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I used this fix for Ex Machina and the exe file had a different name, but worked like a dream!!! No buggy audio, just flawless gameplay.
