Game crashed initially but black screen on start menu after update

I could see the menu and start a game initially and it would crash after the opening cutscene. Now the game just launches to a black screen. I can interact with the menu but can't see anything.

Update: adding -force-d3d11 to the launch options allows the game to run properly

Doesn't work for me. The game runs just fine for me, but when I start a run suddenly black screen, but I can still start up menu.
