Preiya is the first one I tried and made me want to quit the game, lol. Coming from playing V Rising, the controls were awkward. Movement with melee jumps around a lot which makes keeping space/distance difficult and you'd often jump into an enemy attack, or just miss a lot. The skill attacks in the direction where you're moving, which is contrary to how most other weapons/skills in this game operates which shoot towards where your mouse cursor is pointing. If you're using keyboard, your skill can then only move in 8 directions, maybe less because of the hardware limitation with some keyboards where you can't press some combination of at least 3 keys.
Marie is the strongest IMO. Her high fire rate triggers her sub-weapon artifacts a lot, so she has the highest DPS and clearing potential. That said, only the physical type sub-weapon is good because it's fast, it crits, and it chains. The main weapon is a piledriver-style stake launcher and is actually very powerful and very cool. I don't think I have to sell how strong her skill is - it's a grenade with a huge AoE.
Sain had the same issues as Preiya until you get the fire swords. You get to go Gate of Babylon/UBW on things. The thing with her skill is that it has no activation animation/delay, so you can run near enemies, activate it, and do damage, and do it all over again after the cooldown.
Preiya is probably the weakest of the 3, Marie is cheat mode.
Sain is decent Challenge...when not using fire weapons.
Her problem is that she have close to zero crowd control abilities and focus more on directional attacks, but in boss fights she's not bad.
i wasn't sure if i accidentally had easy mode on or something, until i played the other girls. nope. preiya is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OP. she literally oneshots every enemy on the screen from beginning to end
Haven't really touched the other two much, I picked Marie as my first pick just cuz of her design which I liked the most.
I'll give the other ones ago once I finish with her. Currently I've killed the queen and am at rank A, got vampire ending.
Would like to get to rank S and human ending too before moving on to do the same with the others. (get S rank and 2 endings each)
Overall I quite like this game. Was a nice change of pace from the other stuff I play lately.
Marie is easy because there are few challenges for her - many enemies are melee and too slow. However she is balanced by her gun's heat mechanic. Plus latex nun outfit makes her pretty for me;
Sein is quite specific. I felt that she is weak - was died at first boss in the start run (I have accoplished the tutorial run as Preiya and Marie). I even started to keep rubies to empower Sein through Kaleena's upgrades.
Maria is EZ mode for sure simply due to her ability to range everything. She's interesting in that her sub weapon acts more like a main weapon, but no one should knock her main weapon because her pile driver is quite deadly. Maria's main weapon are like Sain's sub-weapon and skill, positioning and timing are key, but once you get it down you can devastate bosses.
Priya can be fun to play, and I like how her weapon elements can change up the way she feels (this is true of all of them to a degree,) but I never got near as much enjoyment out of her as I did Sain, Plus, I personally found Priya's weapon synergy to be a double edged sword, just like she has certain elemental combinations that make her more fun, she has combinations that can really slow her down and make her feel like more of a drag to play.
