Still, Skull and bones is great when you zoom around in your ship and meet other players doing whatever and joining them and disbanding, all with or without party invites. Boom, boom.

You can play most stuff solo but certain bosses and forts require a group.
There is no dedicated singleplayer mode, as I wrote it is a multiplayer online game.
Idk anything about immortal.
MMO stands for "Massively Multiplayer Online Game", MMO`s are games with hundreds of players on the same server/in the same instance. There is nothing "massive" about 12 or 17 players per server/instance.
