Helm PvP question

In 3 matches in a row, different players seem to have something that makes them immune to damage (as they are about to sink/die)

What exactly does this? Is it food? I am lost. It cost me a helm location on 1 of them.

Is it a sort of transparent bubble around them for 5 or 6 seconds?

Is so that’s the immortal vessel armor from the battle pass. You can unlock it for free.

Problem is every time you teleport it resets its cooldown so it will only active 3 minutes after you arrive somewhere. Don’t know if dying before it’s ready resets that cooldown too.

He's not talking about the Imortal Vessel. It's a bug, or some sort of build combination that a few players have figured out which insanely completely reduces damage taken under 33% health.
The new Taunted status really broke PvP and needs a rework.

Lag can potentially put someone in a different location from where they are suppose to be which means your attacks on their ship don't register any damage since they aren't in that location.
