I have a company working on something semi-adjacent to the grimdark of 40k and Trench Crusade. Just without all of the illogical nonsense and lack of any serious consideration for plot consistency.

Yea, the company cares about plot and setting unlike the other mentioned IPs.

I hope devs won't get f*cked over this. I think they should make game a bit more distinct in both UI and setting to set it apart from that other game and that IP. Game was fun in demo from what I played. I liked to board enemy ships in FTL the most anyway

40K is 40K because everything is way over the top -- huge big, large, enormous, gigantic everything and huge many lots of those humangous things and creatures, lol, AND complete lack of the "good guys" morally. That's really what its shtick is and why it's cool. Pretty easy to come up with alternatives
