RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack

RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack

The BIG track pack topic!
Is there some interest for a track pack with over 1900 track designs and much more? I overall mean no custom tracks but just track designs you made in-game, but I have a few custom tracks too. I also have some custom content, as these are connected to some attractions. And I also have something like 50 extra scenarios from the internet (offical extra's from Chris Sawyer, from UCES (Corrupted DAT files of UCES custom content already replaced with not-broken ones), the old RCTHolland site, RCTgo and many more) and a some custom content for in-game (like scenery and the pink water add-on from Chris.)

Is there any interest for a track pack with tracks from all over the internet? I would like to upload everything, so you can play them too :) Maybe then I could regularly update it if I found new attractions and maybe remove some things if you find bad/broken ones? Would you like this?

Sorry guys, but it seems that OpenRCT2 crashes when using the files I have now. I am now looking for the cause of this and asked for some help. When I fixed that, it probably also won't crash in Vanilla RCT2. So, please be patient.

I actually just recovered a track pack on my PC that has over 26,000 custom tracks. Unfortunately my antivirus detected that some were trojans and other viruses. Since those few (6) files have been removed from my collection, I’ve had zero issues running these tracks on OpenRCT2 and on my computer. Please let me know if you experience any similar issues.

Another problem with such a colossal collection is that I’ve used tracks that seem to be perfectly safe and they (the rides, not the application) will eventually end up crashing consistently. (The most notorious one that I can remember was a ‘normal-looking’ Cheshire Cat ride that had cool scenery that somehow managed to constantly kill guests in my park.)

I cannot remember which website I received all these files from, but it’s an immense collection. I hope y’all can enjoy the monstrous variety as I have.

Thanks, downloading it now. Will remove all corrupt tracks from it and let you know it it works. But I still did not manage to find the cause of the crash, so, I won't be releasing a new version till that crash has been fixed: by a bug fix in openrct2 or by finding corrupt files.

Ok @mr gnomes, all your track files seem to be somehow corrupt: when running RCT2 with the ---verbose command, all track files produce errors and are not added to the track index. So, they also won't show up in-game. So, I decided of course not to put them in this pack. See here for instructions on this command: https://openrct2.org/forums/topic/866-problems-starting-the-game/

Btw, a fix is in the works at OpenRCT2 to fix that crash with my object data files (some which are required for certain tracks and also a lot which are nice to have) As soon as that fix is in the latests OpenRCT2 development version, I will upload a new trackpack.

You still plan on uploading a new track pack?

I just downloaded the track collection of @mr_gnomes and can confirm, what @mrtnptrs wrote: the files seem to be incompatible with OpenRCT2 as it fails to load them (using track designs manager).
Really disappointing after the hassle of downloading those many files via Dropbox.

In case anybody cares: I just found an even bigger track pack! Two track packs to be precise! They are all the track designs of the old Atari (publisher of RCT) Ride Exchange. The count is 24363 track designs for RCT (TD4 files) and 59660 track designs for RCT2 (TD6 files)! The download links for RCT1 and RCT2 are still online. Here is the post with the links: https://www.reddit.com/r/rct/comments/t8iwu/atari_run_rollercoaster_tycoon_ride_exchange/
Have a good one!
