**FIXED**Unable to initialize graphics system (ERROR MESSAGE. PLEASE HELP!)

This is an error, which has troubled me even on the disk version of the game I own. I bought it on Steam to see if it would solve the problem, but it is the exact same thing.

Basically, I try to launch the game from anywhere (Library, desktop, .exe) and this message comes up. I assume that since the game is old, and my graphics card is modern, its not compatible. Understandable. I really want a fix to this problem. I have looked around on the internet for a while and some people have claimed to have fixed it. I tried many things, including the things people say fixed it, and nothing has worked.

I really would appreciate any help. I would think it being on steam, they would have tweaked it to work on modern PC's. I completely understand that its an old game and my system can be "too new" but I really want to try everything before sending a request for a refund. (the game is just too good to give up on)

I am currently using an Nvidia GeForce GTX 745

EDIT: Fixed it. Downloaded a hack online and put it in my folder. Works like a charm now except its in windowed mode.

It should run on 98. Download this compatibility: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/make-older-programs-run#1TC=windows-7

Its the rct2-ddhack2.zip. Just extract the folder into your RCT2 steam folder. The one downside to this hack is that it forces the game into a small windowed mode, but its the only solution ive found to the problem, so it will have to do.
