RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack

RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack

*FIXED unable to initialize graphics system
In order to fix this issue: open up steam, go to library, right click Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. Click properties and then click "set launch options" Type "-winxp" without the quotes. For some reason the game won't launch correctly from the steam app. So go to your SteamApps folder. (Should be >Program Files(x86)>Steam>SteamApps>common>Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. Unless you changed it.) From there just click the RCT2 application and it should run. If not, right click and run as administrator. Enjoy! (Also, don't forget to change your resolution in-game unless you like horrible quality!)

I've managed to solve the issue. The problem was with the Nvidia graphics card that is installed on my system. I went to device manager, looked up for the graphics card in Display Adapters, then right clicked the Nvidia Driver and disabled it. Went back to the game, clicked Play - voila, happy times. Its the only solution that worked of all the ones i tried so far. Good luck and have fun!

Wouldnt that make the screen black? I have a Nvidia graphics card and Im having this problem. I feel like disabling it would be a good idea. I'm scared to try it.

You don't have to be scared, your screen won't go black as windows has its own graphic drivers (which are not as advanced and tailored to the nvidia GPUs as the nvidia driver is, but it does the basic job)

This solved my computer's inability to play several games which were failing to initialize. It may even be loading and running faster. Weird.

*** TRY THIS ***
I play Locomotion on steam and, "Run in Administrator" mode seems to fix the problem -MR

Get OpenRCT2. It fixes literally every technical problem with the game. It is a free mod, look it up.
