Guests don't want to pay for rides

So I've got RCT2 on an old Windows XP computer set up beside my current computer and I've been playing for a long while now. I'm in year 37 on my most recent park. I used to be able to charge large amounts of money for rides--my main attraction being the launched free fall that has guests queuing for in-game months. Now, though, they won't get on unless I lower the price. After a while they won't go anywhere near them if the price isn't set to free. I need money to fund my crippling gambling addiction, err uh I mean to fund my uh... Any advice?

What about making all your rides free and making your park entry fee high?

There is also a program called openrct2 that will help your game run smoothly.
OpenRCT2 is an open-source re-implementation of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 (RCT2), expanding the game with new features, fixing bugs and raising game limits.
I also believe that this program will also allow you to play RCT2 on your new computer.

best money making strategy, free admissions into the park. and money for everything else. keeps steady income flow.

with openrct2 you can select both methods to draw income, but i noticed an extremely sharp decline in willingness to pay both park entry fee and ride costs to the tune of me removing and replacing several flat rides.

it would seem free entry to the park and cost on rides income is far higher. and guests seem to understand... its definitely a departure from where u could do both easily in the original parks.
