Will my game work on windows 10?

i want to play this game but ive heard it wont work on windows 10 plus i dont want to install openrct2

Yes, but not very well. You may have trouble starting the game, and if you can, expect crashes.

If you're really not interested in having to use OpenRCT2, than you're going to have a hard time.

Yoou can always check if you can run it without crashes by torrenting a GOG version and see if it functions properly.

I have the game for Windows 10 and it DOES crash, but not very often.

You need DirectPlay. Just be warned that you may suffer issues.

Mine works fine in win 10 and I didn't need DirectPlay - you just need to run it in administrator mode with win XP mode selected too, only times it tends to crash (very rarely) are if something tries to update while you're playing, so save often in case. Also reload if interrupted by another program as saves may not work after an interruption as you can lose the save option (again usually another program updating or wanting to update, possibly a clash between win 10 and win XP modes trying to run at the same time :o) )

Late reply, but Right click on the Windows Logo, go into Programs and Features. On the left side of the window you opened up, you will see Turn Windows Features On or Off. When you click on that, find Legacy components. open it, then you will find Direct Play. Checkmark Legacy components. DirectPlay should be enabled once Legacy components is checkmarked. if not, checkmark Directplay, click OK, then wait a while for Directplay to be installed.

ah, after following previous tip it turns out I already have DirectPlay enabled so maybe my rct2 needs it after all lol.

before i installed OpenRTC2 the game was unusable. it wouldn't just crash. it wouldn't pickup my mouse input correctly random crashing. and of course the FPS cap. in all honestly i would recoment openRTC2. and there is a launcher that will check for updates for you.

No reason why it shouldn't. I have DX12 and the game's good after Installing OpenRCT2 and Directplay.
