Dang entrence fee levels
I know the trick to getting a lot of money on senarios where you carge for rides, but how the heck do you make money when you can only charge for park entrance and food? I already know about the scenery/ride glitch, but it's not enogh, and tedious.

Close the park and open it again.

The peeps will pay more for entrance, as you add more rides. Also they all arrive with one of 4 different amounts of money.

So the most you should charge for entrance is a little bit less than than the 'poorest', otherwise you will just be turning people away at the gate.

Example, the peeps arrive with 60, 70, 80 or 90. Never charge more than 57 for entrance, especially if the scenario is to make sure you have a certain number of guests.

Also, build ATMs so they can get more cash to pay for food/drink/souvenirs/photos and stay in the park.

Build ATM's, lots and lots of food. Also charge movie theater prices for food, thats works too for bringing in the monies.

I'm going to disagree with my own recommendation about ATMs!

On scenarios where you cannot charge for rides, ATMs are not a great idea. It's better to let people with very little or no money go home and be replaced by new peeps who part with a lot of money at the gate, rather than ones who will have all the souvenirs they want, and only spend relatively small amounts when they get hungry and thirsty.

If you give them ATM's, they will be able to afford those movie theater prices for food and drinks though. I usually charge around 5 bucks for any food or drink

Sure, but they'll only buy them when they are hungry or thirsty. If you are charging (say) 55 for park entry, it's better to let the people without money go home when they are hungry or thirsty.

If you don't have the green upward arrow against the number of guests in the bottom left, it means that the park is pretty much 'full' . i.e. not many more guests will come until you improve the park. So you won't get anybody coming in until somebody has gone home.

If you need the park entrance money, to improve the park, to make more guests want to come, so you can meet the scenario objective, then don't place ATMs. When you've got all the peeps you need, then it's OKish to place ATMs.

Model it after a real theme park. Entrance is roughly $50 to $60 and charge $2 for water, $4 for a hamburger, etc etc.

Ok well, is the ATMs a new thing? I spent 1000+ hours on this 10 years back but don't remember ATMs existing.

PS: Were the ATMs a hidden option?

PSS: Did RCT1 have ATMs?

ATMS are not hidden you just have to research them. RCT 1 base game did not have them, expanded version did I belive.
