Its essentially the same game, but with tons and tons of new scenarios to play through (none of which have to be unlocked.). If you enjoy the first game, you will enjoy the second just as much, and vice versa.
Like playing scenario's? RCT1
Like sandboxing? RCT2
Your comment gives me something to think about. I didn't know I can open sandbox mode if I clear all scinario in RCT 1, because I'm kinda person that... you know... clear some scinario and then throw away all scinarios and start to launch every roller coasters to the moon (all of which turned out to fail getting out of gravity) xD.
Thanks anyway! I'll try to clear all scinarios and open sandbox mode... well... maybe... someday...
You can do whatever you want in the scenario's after finishing them, just make sure you keep the game data that stores whenever you have finished a scenario. (the checkmark)
RCT3 is in my opnion even worse than RCT2, the scenario's are just as bad and the coaster building is too slow to be enjoyable (on my machine). I only use it if I want to build indoor coasters and ride them. Lighting is very bad though (it's never dark inside houses and tunneling through ground is not a good alternative, as it places lights at both sides of the track).
