Is there any diffference between this game and Triple Thrill Pack??
I've bought this game and enjoying the nostalgic memoris from my childhood. Since I really liked it, I'm considering about buying RCT 2 - Triple Thrill Pack. Does anybody already have this one and tell me what's new?

p.s. I'm not interested in RCT 3. If you understand what it means, then you may know which part of the difference to explain.

Some noteworthy features in RCT2 include a dedicated Roller Coaster sandbox, a Scenario Editor, has a few better scenery controls, far greater support for custom content, and obviously comes with a lot of new rides and new scenarios. It runs on the same engine, has the same graphics, still all made by Chris Sawyer and crew, and is very, very similar mechanically to the original RCT.

Its essentially the same game, but with tons and tons of new scenarios to play through (none of which have to be unlocked.). If you enjoy the first game, you will enjoy the second just as much, and vice versa.

Thanks! You pointed out exactly what I was wondering.

if you can try out RCT 3 its just as fun as the first 2, but with a great departure of graphics, you can ride your own coasters, better zoom in features, fireworks, actual water parks and safari, and a better sandbox mode

Even though RCT2 has a scenario editor and more scenario's than you'll probably ever play, it doesn't challenge you to keep playing because literally everything is already unlocked. RCT1 gives you a new scenario every time you win one and gives you a sandbox map if you complete all 21 original scenario's. That's what kept me playing RCT1. The first one also allows you to set both a park entrance fee AND ride entrance fees, and it has a non-official scenario editor. RCT2 never allows you to set prices for both and never allows you to use all attractions in a (custom) scenario's.
Like playing scenario's? RCT1
Like sandboxing? RCT2

Your comment gives me something to think about. I didn't know I can open sandbox mode if I clear all scinario in RCT 1, because I'm kinda person that... you know... clear some scinario and then throw away all scinarios and start to launch every roller coasters to the moon (all of which turned out to fail getting out of gravity) xD.

Thanks anyway! I'll try to clear all scinarios and open sandbox mode... well... maybe... someday...

A little warning, that sandbox scenario also means you have the fun of money management, just no time limit to reach whatever you want. I've posted proof that you can unlock it in the video's section. If you don't want money limits you can play arid heights, which is unlocked from the beginning (but you can't let your rating drop below 600 there). Check out the guides section if you want to make your own RCT1 scenario's.
You can do whatever you want in the scenario's after finishing them, just make sure you keep the game data that stores whenever you have finished a scenario. (the checkmark)
RCT3 is in my opnion even worse than RCT2, the scenario's are just as bad and the coaster building is too slow to be enjoyable (on my machine). I only use it if I want to build indoor coasters and ride them. Lighting is very bad though (it's never dark inside houses and tunneling through ground is not a good alternative, as it places lights at both sides of the track).
