How long is an in-game year?

Even though I've played this game for almost 15 years (on and off), I've never noticed how long an in-game year takes. It is about an hour? So I would like to hear that someone had noticed how long a in-year game takes precise?

But I once noticed that a day takes about 20 seconds.

I've been playing the same amount, and I've always estimated it to be about an hour. Never bothered to sit down and figure it out though

OK, also what I have estimated it to.

But if it is 20 seconds per day, we can make an calculation:
(20 seconds x 30 days) x 9 months (March to October).
(20 x 30) x 9 = 5400 seconds
One hour = 3600 seconds
So it makes one year equal to 1 hour and 30 minutes, IRL

But that seems too long - so maybe a day is shorter than 20 seconds...

A year is exactly 40 minutes in RCT, every month lasting for 5 minutes. At least, it was the case in the CD version of the game. :)

OK - that is quite shorter than an hour. But if you have timed it, it must be the truth :)

Yep, I timed it when I was younger so I was able to know how much time it would take to complete a park. ;)

I will beleive him. My timing involved checking a clock going outside for an hour and coming back to see how my park was going :p

I just timed how long a month takes and I recorded 9 minutes & 28 seconds. If RCT records a 8 month year (March - October) than one full year equals 74 minutes and 24 seconds. I don't think it could be 74 minutes, I always finish the first campaign just under an hour
