Asking for Loopy Landscapes CD?

I'm trying to run this game in compatibility mode, but every time I start it, it gives a prompt to insert the LoopyLandscapes CD. No matter if I click Cancel or OK, I get an error message of Missing or Inaccessible Data Files and the game exits to the desktop.

Anyone know a fix for this? Thanks!

Verify you game cache and/or remove+install the game again. If you know what you're doing you can try to change the registery to the deluxe_install directory, but steam should do that automatically for you.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and I'm still having the same problem. Not sure what else to try now. :/

didnt work. how do i change the directory? or any other sugestions?

never mind found a WAY more easy way to fix it, all i had to do was go into the local files find the auto play exe. hit run, the it installs the files to be run without a CD, and plays perfectly.

found the Autorun file but now i am getting Error Code: -5004 : 0x80070005

Sorry for pulling up an old thread, but this may help someone down the line. If you search the folder where steam installs the game, you'll find that autorun.exe is in the following directory:
\steamapps\common\RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe\RCTdeluxe_install

Run it as administrator to complete the install. This installs that loopy landscape pack and lets you play. The game crashed on my first launch, but worked on the second. Hope this helps.

I installed this game and it played perfectly on my old XP pro machine. However, I have RCT 2 disc and was wondering, will this deluxe game from Steam work the same way the original discs worked? Will it let me install RCT 2 to 'this' directory and have more scenarios to challenge me?

RCT 2 has more features in the game and they are missing in Steam's version of the game. Wondering how they can call this version, a deluxe version?!
