The solution for me was to upgrade to Windows 10. Oddly enough, Microsoft’s free Windows 10 upgrade software still worked for me and I upgraded for free.
I use Stardock’s software to make my start menu similar to 7’s and I haven’t looked back lol.
(I'm lazy and not ready to change to windows 10 just yet, gonna upgrade parts in my pc at the same time. So that's why I haven't upgraded yet. Cause it's not fun to start all over and install games etc. It takes time)
I don't know how you found this, but this is a GENIUS workaround, and works for numerous games, including Caesar 3 and Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel. Thank you SO VERY MUCH, good sir, for you have resurrected some of my all-time favorite games, even if they are in smaller windows (which I'm used to using).
Voodoo did remedy issues with Populous: The Beginning back on Windows XP for me and I haven’t tried something like a third party tool for this issue.
Didn’t even think it would work for another title like Rollercoaster Tycoon. Good info, nonetheless. Hopefully it works for everybody.
