There are many replies to advocate adding $10 strategy for 1 coaster and 2 flat rides. That concept is wrong because I tried that too. That means the entrance fee never decreased when park is being developed. If using this approach, I observed I got best value award but followed by worse value award when the park ages. Vice verse, entrance fee/ park value would decay (similar to ride admission fee) when ride ages for 25 years. But those values return for little bit when it has been running for more than 25 years.
In my observation, the pricing of entrance fee is good when it equals to your park value devided by 2000. So if you have 50,000 park value, for example, u are reasonable to charge $25 without complaining too high fee. Decrease the ratio (I.e. $1 to park value ratio) if you need more money for construction funds. But never go lower than 1:1700 to me because it seems to receive worse value price award that becomes decreased guests coming in.
Park value is affected by stats and cost of rides.
So that means your entrance fee could increase dramatically anytime if you build more than one coaster. Building 2 rides which are coasters when getting started increase fee dramatically rather than than building 1 coaster and more than 1 gentle rides or trill rides.
This rule works for every pay per entry park that make success in those scenarios. I hope I could help you.
The maximum fee you could charge is the amount that equals to minimum pocketed money of coming-in guests. For example,It is given that you have around 140k park value, U could be aggressive to charge $70 in Everygreen Gardens because the guests have $70 at least in their pocket when they visit the park. It is true and you are not required to concern about too-expensive for pricing more than $50.
Please push this because it’s working really.
That's okay though. That's the whole point. Drain them at the entrance so you get the money up front. It's the secret to scaling fast. Then once you have the park the way you want, feel free to lower everything if you're trying to get the awards for best park value etc. However, while charging a ton at the entrance, I still get those awards anyways.
My philosophy is real life. I have never paid for a ride at any theme park I have been to. They hit me hard with the entry and food. I think it makes the game more engaging. I know for a fact I can get boatloads of money charging for rides, but nah. I like to be fair to my little digital guests. :)
Although maybe one of these days I will switch it up just for fun. I know RCT2 and Classic are entry/ride based. I can always apply that philosophy manually to these levels as I see fit. :)
Low entrance fee, high price fee for rides.
Could be wrong.
