There will be no conclusion to this game.
I bought this game expecting to be able to play through the full story, and had high expectations for their portrayal of The Battle Of The Five Armies, because, let's face it, it is the climax of the story and has most of the action. For Warner Bros. to announce that they will not expand the game to include BOTFA, is just ridiculous.
Only buy this game if you like leaving the cinema half an hour before a film ends or quitting a book just before the action starts. I hope you, that one strange person who likes incomplete stories, can enjoy this game more than I can

I am a huge huge fan of the Lord of the Rings, as well as Lego and thoroughly enjoyed playing through the first 2/3rds of the story of the Hobbit...

However! That is where it ends. There is no more to this game, there is no battle of the five armies, there is no Bilbo saves the day. There is Smaug flies away from the lonely mountain... then nothing! No more story... biggest anti climax ever....

Had i known the game was incomplete i never would have bought it. I cannot believe it was left unfinished, and my various gameplay gripes that i had been willing to overlook now add to a thoroughly aggravating and disappointing gameplay.
If you have a desire to play through to the end of desolation of smaug, at least wait until it is on sale.

LEGO® 2/3 of The Hobbit™ literally rolls the credits after Smaug is about to destroy Laketown, and there's no story after that. It's just the end. The entire 3rd movie of The Hobbit is missing.

Don't get me wrong. The game itself is not bad.
But sadly it's incomplete.
This game only contains the first two Hobbit movies. Therefore it feels unfinished and not satisfying at all.

It's just two hobbit movies, they didn't do the third.
They even said they will make the third part (movie) and put it as free dlc, but they didn't do it.
So the game ends with you releasing the dragon. That's it, the game ends and you are free to roam the world.
It leaves you confused and angry.
I wan't my money back, but I will not get them since I played the game for few hours without knowing it basically isn't finnished, and never will be.

The game ends abruptly at the end of the second movie. No third movie? Big yikes. Should be called, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Ending."

The one and only incomplete lego game. The only one in history that needs a huge content update with the third movie included. Not much else to say, playwise it'll be fun for the kids until they reach the end, then they'll be left on a cliff hanger and think about the game, dream about the game, thinking what they have to do to unlock the third movie. It's sad and they've created a piece of active subtle widespread depression.

It is called Lego the Hobbit, it should be called Lego Some of the Hobbit.

I bought this game at a time where the developers claimed that the third film's content would release right after the film released (December 2014). When the time came, the studio announced that it was not going to release it after all.

I don't know how this is legally or ethically correct, but this is when you really wish for some internet justice. They promised content which they did not deliver, its unforgivable, especially once they have the money of the customers in hand. This game was simply a fraud, a con, and a scam.

Once they enticed a huge audience to buy the game with the promise of all the Hobbits in the game, they just didn't have to make it because everyone had already bought it. More moeny, less work. Disgusting.
