Black bars on 5:4 display
Native resolution is 1280:1024. When I choose this in the setting, none of the possible aspect ratio settings works correctly. I get either a vertically stretched image, or black bars top and bottom?
Any way to fix this? Thanks!

i think 5:4 is rare. and to be honest, you're better off staying awy from. if possible use something closer to 16:9 as far as i can tell you're using close to a 4:3 standard crt monitor, otherwise you wouldn't be using it. or having this problem.

since the 5:4 is causing the issues, having it changed to 4:3 or even... but i'm going off the wall and base the 5:4 off you having a mac or mac accepted computer. and if that's the case those black bars have been commented on by others... i forget what exactly the advice was; but it was something to the effect of make sure you have native resolution. set on your computer as well as the game.

it's been awhile since i read that, but i'd have to go find the thread to tell you anymore.

Thanks! The display is a TFT with native 1280x1024 res, aka 5:4
The game does only offer 4:3, 16:9, 16:10, and "resolution dependent" aspect ratios. All of these options create the problems explained in the op. I've no idea why the latter option doesn't work; it should, from my understanding.

P.S. The resolution is correctly saved in the .ini

A full (non-widescreen) picture of 1280x1024 (5:4) works fine with other LEGO games that are default widescreen, so long as you set the aspect ratio as "From screen resolution" (this worked with LEGO Marvel and Lord of the Rings), but ever since this game came out, the LEGO series no longer supports a full 5:4 picture. For now, I've set this game to 1280x1024, and the aspect ratio to 4:3. Why? Because its just a bit taller than all of the other widescreen modes, but not horribly stretched. So you get just a bit more of your available screen space filled out. Yes, I know 4:3 isn't widescreen, but on a 5:4 monitor, for some reason, it is, at least with this game.
