Change Time of Day?
Hello all.
I've seen everywhere that you use campfires to change the time of day, however, at my point in the story (just finished first movie) they are not unlocked. I was just wondering, when do campfires get unlocked?
Thanks.

After you finish the game. Changing time of day is not necessary in the story mode, only in the freeplay mode.

It's helpful for doing events only active at night or day before you finish the game.

What kein Text said, I'm doing story mode and freeplay at the same time, so I don't just finish the story really quickly and have a whole pile of open world stuff to do. I'm spreading it out. Thanks for the answer though.

It is pointless. Trust me. Just focus on the story then come back. Doing it otherwise is very limiting (for example, can't change time of day). I "wasted" like 10 hours I think. Took 18 hours to finish the story mode when it can be done in 8 hours cause like you, I wanted to do the quests and collect bricks. It was very inefficient though.

The campfires actually unlock just before you do the Barrels Out of Bond level, as you can initially only enter the Halls of Thranduil at night.

Yes, I've just unlocked campfires which means I can do a lot more things. I don't just want to do the story really quickly. It's working out just fine right now. Thanks anyway

I just want to skip the little scene you get everytime you use a campfire

It's masking a loading screen for the changed overworld, so it's either watch that or the ring spinning in a corner of the screen.
