How do I play single player?
This is going to be the dumbest question of the century, but how do I play single player?
I can't figure it out. There's no option asking me if I am going to play coop or not, and if I just start the game, wsda moves Thorin, arrows move the other guy, the other guy doesn't follow Thorin if I run off (it splits the screen and just has him standing there) - wtf?

Use the menu button for the second player and there should be an option to Drop Out, I believe. See if that works. I'm not sure what key it is, it should say in Options.

The Enter key is your partner's Pause button. You only need to use Co-Op to get to Co-Op achievement. Because the Co-Op system kinda sucks. The reason the other guy doesn't follow Thorin is because that guy is suppose to be controlled by the second player. So if he doesn't follow and gets too far away from you, it will splitscreen. To play Co-Op, right when you start the game or load your save, which always makes you start in single player, just press F2. To exit, press Enter (Player 2 Pause Button) scroll down to Drop Out with the arrow keys and press Numpad 2 (accept) so your back to Single Player.

Hope this explains everything.

Yes, that worked! Thanks so much.

I had to activate keyboard as input devices for the second player (as none was set) and then use the pause key as you said to drop out.
