PS: Its the "Taskbar" and the "Taskbar Button" for the currently running item (in this case, the game) that he's referring to.
I forgot the wrod when i wrote that oops thanks for clarifying
you are welcome i just got angry so i tried it
And, also to everyone who has found succes with "spam-clicking":
I am also having issues with this game. I try to launch the game, the screen goes black for a moment, then it switches to a white windowed screen where a pop up proceeds to tell me the game has stopped working.
I have attempted a few of the above solutions. However, I cannot spam click on the task bar because the game's window covers that area and I seem to be unable to move it out of the way.
I have fixed framerate issues in a few other games by editing config files, and was therefore quite hopeful of this technique. However, I cannot seem to find the <\Roaming\Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment\Lego The Hobbit> part and it's very irritating when files appear to simply not be there.
I have checked the game's cache integrity, and was going to uninstall/reinstall but it seems like that doesn't help very often anyway. I have tried changing my computer's resolution, my computer is in English mode, and none of the other possible options seem very relevant to my situation either.
I hope that someone will be able to help me with a solution. I haven't played a LEGO game since I was a kid, and I'm looking for some nostalgia here!
just spam click the black screen
didn't work for me
I bought 2 games today : Lego The Hobbit and Lego Marvel Super Heroes.
Everyone was talking about a pcconfig file or a _CommonRedist file and in my case such file didn't exist in my computer.
1. I closed all Steam tasks in the Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open it).
2. I went to the Steam installation folder and opened it as an administrator.
3. I went to the game library and pressed play instead of double clicking the game icon.
After all of this, it did launch, the Resolution is completely off but I will manage to fix it. Changing launch options seems to not work (-w 1920 -h 1080).
😂
I'm so happy right now... I've tried to get this sh** work all night. Now it's mornin', I found this post and thought: well.. I will spam click the sh** out of the black screen and it really worked 😂😂😂😂.
I would never imagine that spam clicking would help anything in a software
Edit:
Well... I wanted to play again this evening and it just didnt worked again. The spamclick solution isn't working either
When I pressed the launch button and second later, the game closed itself. Then I changed compatibility settings and ran the game as an administrator. I saw this code error and did some diggin
1. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/0xc000007b-error-fix/92f9a9b8-ff58-4489-8833-f0d5437e5d3a
2. None of the steps worked for me cause my .net framework and c++ were fine, but this video with dll files worked like magic (don't forget to delete dupe dll files from achieve if there will be such)
