Resolution Issues
For some reason I cannot get this game to display at a 1080P it just keeps defaulting back to 768 and will not fill my screen. Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone know of a work around for this.

Alright this might work.

Look for the pcconfig file in the LEGO Hobbit folder (OR it might be in \AppData\Roaming\Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment\ - easy to get there by just typing in %appdata% in the run bar).

Where you see height/width change those to the correct resolution and you should be golden.

Do this in notepad or wordpad if you prefer. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE - you can mess with Bloom and stuff if you want though, but just try adjusting the resolution first.

Also, you must accept the changes once you have changed the resolution using in-game menu. If you don't it will revert back to default. Some people forget that.

I have the EXACT same issue. I have definitely accepted changes. Seems like nothing does in the main menu.

However, when I begin the game in proper, after trying a few more times, all of a sudden the resolution changed. Hope this is not the case in the main game.

Now I have a bigger issue...3D is enabled! I never touched any setting. All I did was upgrade to 8.1 from 8.0 (WIndows). No issue with games like Thief and XCOM.

Even so, I *suspect* the 1080p may not be just that. Graphics still don't look sharp, and game is running at 120fps+ maxed out on my GTX750 despite the recommended specs being a GTX480. Something doesn't add up.

There is definitely one in the LEGO Hobbit folder for the demo at least, I did it the other day.

I had this issue initially as well. What I found was that it was operator error. Once you select the resolution you want (I was trying to use 1920x1080), the screen briefly goes blank while it is adjusting. Then it gives you the option to keep the new setting or use the old ones. Where I ran into trouble is that the default selection there is to revert to the old settings. I kept hitting enter, and it kept reverting to the old settings (1024x768). You have to manually select "keep this setting" in order to get it to accept the resolution change. After that, it has worked fine.

I haven't had the 3D issue, so no ideas there.

How do you "manually select"?

Dammit, this issue is present in the FULL GAME as well. Pffft...

I have the same problem, and I use a xbox controller. It says press A to keep setting or B for revert and I press A, doesn't work.

What worked for me is setting Aspect Ratio (in Video Settings) to: From Screen-Res; which filled my entire screen and now it seems to be running fine.

That's one of the things I did first and it doesn't work. It just jumps back to default after I click on accept.

The folder is there, you probably didn't search at the right place. Use the search function with %appdata% and you cannot miss it.

However, I did this and it didn't work, but I left the changes I've made in pcconfig anyways. But then I saw one of the things listed in the file was 0IgnoreVendorPresets. I changed it to 1IgnoreVendorPresets.

I restarted the game twice and for some reason it worked and now I have it on 1600x900 with no problem and it's the right aspect ratio also.

I don't guarentee this actually works though, cause I restarted the game twice before it actually worked so I'm quite skeptical that this is actually the solution, but worth a try.

If not well....good luck!

Ok, I realize the trick. On the settings page, don't enter/spacebar. Move up, then do that.

From the text document:

ScreenWidth 1024
ScreenHeight 768
WindowWidth 1024
WindowHeight 768
WindowLeft -1
WindowTop -1
ScreenRefreshRate 60
VerticalSync 1
AspectRatio 1

I suppose change the top 4 value to the resolution you want, e.g.

ScreenWidth 1920
ScreenHeight 1080
WindowWidth 1920
WindowHeight 1080

*just tested the about and it DOES WORK!!!*

I just recorded the first mission in what I thought was 1080p but it was 1024x768, sucks balls for a £20 game.
