Just the first two movies, third is DLC
Had to look this up, so thought it would be useful info here. The current game ends at the end of the second movie. They plan DLC for the 3rd and final part of the trilogy at the end of the year:

They should say something in the store page really.

Thank you. I came into the forums to ask this question.

So here's the question... will we be able to buy a "complete" version of the game down the road?
Or are we stuck buying the first two thirds of it on disc and downloading the rest?
The Jagji Apr 8, 2014 @ 2:44pm
Lol.... discs....

I would like to know that tho too... I tend to by two copys of Every lego game. One on here, and one on the PS3. I guess the real problom tho, will be how big the DLC will be to download.

thanks for the info, ill just wait for the full release of the game or DLC, with the lack of online CO-OP i dont see much replayability, id rather enjoy the whole game at once rather than enjoy two thirds of it and then have to jump back into the 3rd s couple months later. doesnt seem like the game will be that long judging from the films.

There seems to be more DLC planned for the game then we realize.

http://steamdb.info/app/285160/ (hit the tab labeled Downloadable Content)

My guess is character packs, given that we're still a long ways off from the 3rd film. And because LEGO Marvel did it as well.

Those entries were added about 7 hours ago, by the way (as of this posting).

I wonder if the movie studio told them they can't have the 3rd movie in the game. Then again they had the On Stranger Tides in Lego Pirates, but that was only 2 weeks before the movie. Either way i already got this game cheap here on Steam, i can spend the extra on DLC and probably still come out cheaper than just buying it on console without DLC.

Me too. Thanks for the info.
Well, I guess I'm not buying it then :/

Is the 3rd part going to be free? If not, how much do you think the DLC (for 3rd movie) would cost?
This game is already the price of a full lego game, so it can't be that high, can it?

I also think all of this should be mentioned in the steam store. Now the store page is really uninformative (and even misleading).

Hey, are you certain? That is some terrible advertising. I bet lots of people would be flabbergasted to learn that the game they buy is not complete.

Are you certain we need to pay for the DLC and it is not a free download?

Either way, COMPLETELY omitting this info on the store page has me in two minds now whether to support the game or not...

More confirmation, although no mention on the price:

Official response so far is:

Warner Bros. has responded to our request for comment on reported DLC for Lego: The Hobbit. "Definitely stay tuned for more exciting news in the near future," a representative told us via email.

Thanks for the info

got the LOTR lego trilogy and it is a nice fun game, i think waiting it out until all 3 parts of the hobbit trilogy are available is the smartest way to go though

+1 for the info. I was asking the same question. THANKS!

Steam really needs to control how games advertise themselves on their store page... This is not even nearly the worst case, but it still is false advertising. Anyhow, I'm probably going to wait for the dlc to come out before buying. (And that is probably timed with the movie and thus in december...) Maybe the complete game will have some discount during holiday sales...
himmatsj Apr 10, 2014 @ 6:47am
Somebody said that the DLC would be free.

Meanwhile, I read elsewhere that it isn't even confirmed there will even be a DLC.
