lost d3d device application will now exit

right click on game, go to properties, then click set launch options. type in -dx9 then exit steam and reboot computer, should work afterwards. Mine did, it lauches the game with direct x 9. hope this helps

This didn't work for me and neither did updating drivers or adding -dxlevel 81 (from steam's support):

This game used to work fine for me, now nothing. Wonder if anyone knows of anything else to try?
