The Glitch that Bilbo Baggins HATES

Apparantly its the resolution thats the problem. You have to switch it to something lower. Figures.

I got this game over the Steam Sale and was really excited to play it. Got through the first level fine, but now I'm stuck on the second level. During the bouncing plate mini game, everything is fine until it gets to the part with Bilbo washing dishes in the background. When the plate is tossed to the dwarf next to Balin, it vanishes completely and the minigame just freezing, leaving Balin and his dwarf friend eternally dancing like idiots.

Is there any way to fix that, or have I been hardware glitched out of a second Lego game? (♥♥♥♥ing Marvel Superheroes...)
